Siglo Hotel is a beautiful hotel right on the marina in Siglafjordur. Our room looked right out onto the water and the beds were SO comfortable! Breakfast was amazing and the staff could not have been friendlier. We stayed 2 nights in this beautiful town and I’ll stay here again if we come back to Iceland.

This is an outstanding hotel which lives up to all the positive reviews and exceeded our expectations. The rooms were spotless, service attentive and food excellently prepared, cooked and presented. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious. Can't wait to return.

Friends had recommended the Siglo Hotel in Siglufjordhur as being really good. I was offered an upgrade to a fjord view room in advance at a cost of €65 per night and it really was worthwhile: the room was spacious with a king-size bed and a lovely view of the fjord and snow-capped hills. We ate in the restaurant both nights and were able to choose easily. The seafood soup, marinated salmon, artic char, cod, beef and beets were all excellent. The hot tub was very special and we really enjoyed the locally brewed IPA which can be drunk in the hot tub. The staff were all lovely, helpful and efficient. We were recommended to a fantastic walk to the local forest and waterfall (about 5 miles in total). We had a memorable stay.

The location is perfect, surroundings and the hotel building itself gorgeous and the rooms comfy, clean and stylish. We had the best night sleep. The food was great as were the accommodations *the hot pot and sauna magical). I would like to give the staff a special mention as they were absolutely superb, went above and beyond and made us feel very welcome and cared for. Everything in Iceland is expensive but the stay here is well worth its pricetag and then some. Just fantastic.

Expensive old hotel Start from beginning price for a standard rooms for a night is way to much Receptionist lady is barely speaking English In the rooms are some sort of old smell Sorry bed sheet I mean dirty by some stains in the sheets Hot tub outside no bathrobes offered

The hotel was in the right place. The room was very large compared to our other locations. Good to know as my husband is 6'4" and needs a little extra space. The breakfast was plentiful. THe floor in our room was not clean so wearing shoes made lots of noise.
